My role at International Needs is to fundraise for our projects by making funding applications to Trusts and Charitable Foundations. I am also responsible for co-ordinating our child sponsorship programme. I occasionally get to visit the projects - which is a huge blessing!
Before joining the International Needs team I was working at home – Governor at 2 primary schools, volunteering at my son’s school, running Well Women Workshops, doing some personal studying and some other bits and pieces that kept me busy.
Passions
What I find most rewarding about my role at International Needs is knowing that when an application is successful a project can move ahead and I can see people's lives changed. I have visited sponsored children in their homes and schools and seen for myself what a difference sponsorship really makes. I absolutely love going out to visit the projects, meeting the people and our partners overseas. I am passionate about the projects that we are working on and the people and communities we work with. Visiting the projects helps me in so many ways in my role here in the UK office.
It's a privilege to work with such a great bunch of people – all around the world!
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. In my spare time (if I get any), I enjoy walking my dogs, cooking, entertaining and gardening.
