International Needs’ London Bridges Walk event is approximately a seven mile walk along the River Thames and across some of London’s most famous bridges. We will meet at 10am on Saturday 19 September 2015 at London Bridge Station (exact meeting point to be confirmed). The tourist inside you will enjoy seeing some of London’s iconic landmarks along the way, such as St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament.
Who can take part?
Anyone can take part. This event is not just for the super-fit, all you need is some determination and a sense of adventure. Whether you are an individual seeking a fun challenge, organising a company event, a group of friends, or a family looking for a fun day out with a twist, this is for you. A great opportunity to walk with others who share your sense of adventure.
What is this event for?
This is a fundraising event to help make a difference to people who are trapped in slavery. We believe that it is an abomination that anyone should live as a slave in the 21st century. Modern slavery has many different faces, child labour and sexual exploitation to name but a few. Join us on this walk to help protect the vulnerable and prevent all forms of slavery.
How much is it?
The cost of taking part is just £15. This includes an International Needs t-shirt, route map, a certificate congratulating you on your achievement, a drink and energy bar at the end of the walk. Children can join for £5 without a T-shirt, or £15 with.
We don’t ask for a minimum fundraising amount we just ask you to raise as much money as you can. Remember that every penny counts and will make a difference. The entry fee is not a donation to the work of International Needs, but covers the cost of the event, meaning that the sponsorship money that you raise can go directly to help those who need it.
