Thank you to all who have responded to our recent Mosquito Net Appeal. Since we launched the appeal, we have raised enough money to buy over 375 nets.

Malaria, spread by the Anopheles mosquito, kills more children in Africa alone than AIDS – 3,000 each day! That is one child every 30 seconds, every day!

UNICEF tell us that 90 percent of all malaria deaths in Africa occur in young children.

Many millions of pounds have been, and are being spent to rid the world of this awful disease but meanwhile, children are still dying.

However, a simple, inexpensive and immediate solution has been developed which will help prevent children being infected by malaria, and restore peace of mind to their communities.

Sleeping under mosquito nets treated with insecticide will not only prevent the initial mosquito bite, but will also work towards eradicating the insects which are carrying and spreading the disease. These nets can help cut malaria transmission by at least 50% and child deaths by 20%.
