INUK seeks local church to partner with a new and developing IN work in Turkey
We are looking for a local church in the UK that could help by partnering with a new work of ours that is developing in Turkey and wonder if you could help.
As you know, Turkey has applied to join the EU. One of the conditions of joining is that it allows religious freedom, something that has exercised them greatly, being a predominantly Muslim country. However, just recently they have allowed a Christian organisation to register their activities and International Needs wants to be the second organisation to do so. This will help to give the people of Turkey the freedom to openly worship and engage in Christian activities.
International Needs Turkey is in it’s infancy but the advent of this new situation gives our partners all kinds of opportunities which they are keen to explore. They are looking to the church in the UK to stand with them as they move forward by faith.

For many years, Behan and his wife, Natalie had a vision to build a Christian Centre in the capital, Istanbul. A place that would not only act as a church but would become the centre of community life. They anticipate the building being in use all day every day, with training courses for local people, a drop in centre for those who need help, women’s groups, children’s activities, and youth programmes, etc. We already have a number of evangelists in place who have planted churches around the country, many of which meet in homes.
Now their dream can be realised with your help.
We are interested in facilitating a meaningful partnership, which will enable your church to have a close and direct link with International Needs Turkey. I believe that such a relationship will give your church an opportunity to:
· develop a passion for mission both in the UK & overseas
· renew a passion and focus for prayer, both for individual believers and the church as a whole
· express their Christian faith in practical ways
· to use their spiritual and practical gifts
· travel and experience another culture
· discover a way of obeying Christ’s command to ‘go into all the world …’
· help evangelise in a very important part of the world
· develop close fellowship between each other and believers in Turkey
Turkey is not that far away, so to help establish a meaningful and fruitful partnership, we envisage:
· The leaders of the work in Turkey coming to the UK and spending time, maybe a week or so, with your church developing a relationship with you.
· Developing a relationship between the leaders of your church and the leaders of the work in Turkey
· A group from your church visiting Turkey and helping them both practically (teaching practical skills in the Church centre) and spiritually (praying with them, learning from them, teaching, preaching, and doing children’s work, etc.)
· An opportunity to raise finance to help them establish this Christian Centre in Istanbul.
All kinds of people in your church, from all walks of life and with different gifts could be used to help establish and extend the Kingdom of God in Turkey.
I’d really appreciate the opportunity of exploring this further with you so do give me a call or email me and we can set up a meeting that is mutually convenient.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
PETER STALEY
